Maryland Medical Professional Liability Insurance Rate Stabilization Act of 2004

Synopsis:

Requiring specified alternative dispute resolution of specified health care malpractice actions under specified circumstances; authorizing the Court of Appeals to adopt rules relating to specified alternative dispute resolution; providing for specified alternative dispute resolution procedures and costs; authorizing an arbitration panel or court to make a specified finding as to whether a claim or action was brought or maintained in bad faith or without substantial justification; etc.
