Research and Development Tax Credit

Synopsis:

Increasing from $3,000,000 to $6,000,000 the maximum amount of credits the Department of Business and Economic Development may approve in a calendar year for each component of the Maryland Research and Development Tax Credit; decreasing the number of succeeding years during which an individual or corporation may apply an excess as a credit against State income tax; extending the time period during which the research and development tax credit may be taken by qualified business entities; etc.
