Income Tax - Clean Air - Subtraction Modification for Bicycle and
Pedestrian Commuters
Allowing a subtraction modification under the Maryland individual
income tax equal to 10 cents per mile traveled to and from an
individual's place of employment by bicycle or on foot; limiting the
subtraction to $100 for any taxable year; requiring an individual
claiming the subtraction to maintain specified travel records and to
file specified travel records with the individual's Maryland income
tax return; and applying the Act to tax years beginning after December
31, 2004.
