Prince George's County - Residential Development Surcharge - Public Safety PG 319-05

Synopsis:

Requiring the County Council of Prince George's County to impose by ordinance a specified public safety surcharge of $8,000 on specified new residential construction for which a building permit is sought on or after July 1, 2005; providing that the payment of the surcharge does not eliminate any authority to apply specified tests concerning the adequacy of public facilities; requiring specified distributions from the surcharge revenue to the Prince George's County Police and Fire/EMS departments to be used for specified purposes; etc.
