Health Care Facilities and Laboratories - Accreditation Organizations and Deeming

Synopsis:

Defining the term "health care facility" for the purpose of specified licensing, accreditation, and regulatory provisions so as to include specified hospitals, health maintenance organizations, freestanding ambulatory care facilities, assisted living facilities, laboratories, home health agencies, residential treatment centers, and comprehensive rehabilitation facilities; requiring specified accreditation organizations to apply to the Secretary of Health and Mental Hygiene for approval; etc.
