Domestic Violence - Ex Parte Orders - Expungement

Synopsis:

Authorizing the respondent in a petition for relief from abuse to file a petition to expunge an ex parte order if a final protective order was not issued in the proceeding; and authorizing the court to order expungement of police and court records about the ex parte order if the court finds the petition for relief from abuse was in bad faith or without substantial justification.
