Entitled:
State and Local Pension Systems - Uniform Management of Public Employee Retirement Systems Act

Synopsis:

Requiring a county or municipal corporation in the State that establishes a public pension system on or after July 1, 2005, to adhere to principles incorporated in the Uniform Management of Public Employee Retirement Systems Act that address the investment and management of funds for a public pension system; providing that specified provisions of the Act may not be construed to affect the authority of the State or specified local jurisdictions over the budget for specified public pension plans; etc.
