Creation of a State Debt - Washington County - Aspiring to Serve the
Community
Authorizing the creation of a State Debt not to exceed $200,000, the
proceeds to be used as a grant to the Board of Directors of Aspiring
to Serve, Inc. for the construction and renovation of a building to
serve as a homeless shelter and rental space for nonprofit
organizations providing social services; providing for disbursement of
the loan proceeds, subject to a requirement that the grantee provide
and expend a matching fund; prohibiting the use of the loan proceeds
or the matching fund for sectarian religious purposes; etc.
