Entitled:
Income Tax Exemption Amounts - Blind and Elderly Individuals

Synopsis:

Increasing the amount allowed as a deduction for additional exemptions under the Maryland income tax for individuals who, as of the last day of the taxable year, are blind or are at least 65 years old, from $1,000 to $1,500 for the tax year 2006 and to $2,400 for tax years 2007 and beyond; repealing obsolete provisions; and applying the Act to tax years beginning after December 31, 2005.
