Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 175 - This bill alters the salary of the Treasurer of Caroline County from $45,000 to $55,000 and provides that the Act does not apply to the salary or compensation of the incumbent Treasurer of Caroline County.
Senate Bill 592, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 175.
