Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 705 - This bill amends the Maryland Consolidated Capital Bond Loan of 2003 to extend the date by which the Board of Directors of Doctors Community Hospital, Inc. must present evidence to the Board of Public Works that a matching fund will be provided.
Senate Bill 354, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 705.
