Dear Mr. Speaker:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed House Bill 897 - This bill establishes that an individual attains a specified age on the day of the anniversary of the individual's birth and provides an exception for individuals born on February 29.
Senate Bill 86, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign House Bill 897.
