Dear Mr. President:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, today I have vetoed Senate Bill 465 - Election Law - Not-for-Profit Organizations - Attribution of Contributions by Officers.

This bill provides that specified campaign contributions made by officers of specified not-for-profit organizations are not attributable to the organizations, except under specified circumstances and defines "officer." House Bill 178, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed by me, accomplishes the same purpose. Therefore, it is not necessary for me to sign Senate Bill 465.
