Somerset County - Deputy Sheriffs - Conditions of Employment

Synopsis:

Specifying that deputy sheriffs of Somerset County serve under the direction of the Sheriff of Somerset County; requiring deputy sheriffs within 1 year after appointment to complete successfully a specified police training course; specifying that a deputy sheriff whose position is funded by the County Commissioners becomes a merit system employee on completion of a probation period and may not be dismissed without cause; and providing a specified exception.
