Health Insurance - Continuation of Coverage for Adult Children

Synopsis:

Requiring a group or individual health benefit plan issued or delivered in the State by a carrier to permit a child to continue to be covered under the health benefit plan after the child meets the limiting age specified in the health benefit plan if the child has had continuous coverage; providing for the end of the continuation of coverage; prohibiting the continuation right from being used to terminate coverage for an incapacitated child; making provisions applicable to health maintenance organizations; etc.
