Synopsis:

Authorizing the Sheriff of Prince George's County to appoint reserve deputies during a local state of emergency; providing for the number of appointments and compensation; specifying the powers of reserve deputies; requiring the Police Training Commission to establish specified programs for applicants for the position of reserve deputy; altering the definition of "State personnel" for the purposes of the Maryland Tort Claims Act to include reserve deputies of a county or Baltimore City.
