Entitled:
Correctional Officers' Retirement System - Membership - Local Detention Center Officers

Synopsis:

Authorizing local detention center officers of counties and municipal corporations in the State to participate in the Correctional Officers' Retirement System on or after July 1, 2006; providing for the procedures counties and municipal corporations are required to follow to withdraw from the Correctional Officers' Retirement System; requiring the transfer of funds to the accumulation fund of the Correctional Officers' Retirement System; and defining specified terms.
