Election Law - Ballots - Certification of Questions and Nomination of Candidates

Synopsis:

Authorizing specified political parties to nominate candidates to the ballot if the parties do not nominate candidates by primary election; establishing filing requirements for specified candidates; providing that unless a board of education race is partisan a candidate may not qualify by petition or party nomination; clarifying the procedure by which political parties must fill vacancies; requiring the county attorney to prepare and certify specified information for specified ballot questions; etc.
