Healthy Maryland Initiative

Synopsis:

Establishing the Healthy Maryland Initiative Fund; requiring specified appropriations from the Fund for specified health care purposes; altering the distribution of tobacco tax revenues; increasing the tobacco tax rate imposed on cigarettes and other tobacco products; expanding eligibility under the Maryland Medical Assistance Program to specified parents having incomes at or below specified levels; establishing a Small Business Health Care Incentive Program; etc.
