Commercial Law - Consumer Protection - Wireless Telephone Consumer Protection Act

Synopsis:

Requiring wireless telephone service providers to disclose various fees, taxes, and penalties, notify customers about basic 911 service, disclose maps of their coverage area, and file information on rates and charges; outlining requirements for wireless telephone bills; requiring a no-risk "trial period"; limiting the liability of wireless telephone customers in the case of loss or theft; authorizing the adoption of regulations; defining violations as an unfair trade practice; etc.
