Unclaimed Restitution - Disbursements and Use

Synopsis:

Requiring the Comptroller to distribute unclaimed money from judgments of restitution to the State Victims of Crime Fund to be used for specified purposes; requiring the Comptroller to reduce a specified distribution by a specified amount if a victim entitled to restitution is located; and requiring the State Board of Victim Services to ensure that money obtained from unclaimed restitution is used for grants to provide legal counsel to victims.
