Evidence - Separate Act of Sexual Misconduct Involving a Minor - Admissibility

Synopsis:

Authorizing a court to admit evidence of a defendant's commission of a separate act of sexual misconduct involving a minor in the defendant's trial for a crime involving a sexual offense to a minor; requiring the State's Attorney to disclose to the defendant the State's intent to offer the evidence within a specified time period before trial unless the court allows disclosure later for good cause shown; requiring the court to hold a closed hearing to determine if specified evidence is admissible; etc.
