Entitled:
Correctional Services - Inmates - Mandatory Health Testing

Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services to test or provide for the testing of inmates in State correctional facilities for the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and the hepatitis C virus within 30 days after the inmate is admitted to a State correctional facility and before the inmate is released from the facility; providing that agents and employees of the Department are immune from liability under the Act under specified circumstances; and requiring the Secretary of the Department to adopt regulations.
