Maryland Energy Independence Act of 2007

Synopsis:

Requiring an electric company to operate its own peak-load or other generating facility for standard offer service; requiring specified percentages of an electric company's standard offer service to be generated within the State over a specified period; requiring the Public Service Commission to determine a specified statewide level of electricity usage from 2007 and to establish a baseline electricity level from it; etc.
