Pharmacy Benefits Managers - Therapeutic Interchanges

Synopsis:

Prohibiting a pharmacy benefits manager or its agent from requesting a therapeutic interchange unless specified conditions are met; defining "therapeutic interchange" as "any change from one prescription drug to another"; requiring a pharmacy benefits manager or its agent to obtain authorization to make a therapeutic interchange and to make disclosures to a prescriber; requiring a pharmacy benefits manager or its agent to disclose information to a beneficiary with the prescription drug dispensed; etc.
