Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to convene a work group to assess the level of hospital preparedness regarding providing emergency care to patients with snakebites requiring the administration of antivenin and to make specified recommendations; providing for the composition of the work group; requiring the Department to provide staff for the work group; and requiring the Department to submit a report to specified committees of the General Assembly on or before December 1, 2008.
