Synopsis:

Establishing the Parren J. Mitchell Public Service Scholarship in the Workforce Shortage Student Assistance grants program; requiring the Maryland Higher Education Commission to select and offer grants to students who plan to pursue a career in workforce shortage fields, including students who plan to become school teachers, nurses, child care providers, physical and occupational therapists, and service providers in the field of mental health, developmental disabilities, child welfare, and juvenile justice; etc.
