Task Force to Review Physician Shortages in Rural Areas

Synopsis:

Creating a Task Force to Review Physician Shortages in Rural Areas; requiring the Task Force to study recruitment and retention of primary care physicians in rural areas, funding of programs to encourage physician practice in rural areas, federal and State programs relating to physician geographic distribution, and financial and tax incentives for specified physicians, and to make recommendations; requiring the University of Maryland School of Medicine to develop a Rural Residency Track Pilot Program; etc.
