Richard Atta Poku Foreclosure Defense Act
Authorizing a court to order reasonable discovery in an action to stop
or stay a foreclosure sale of residential property under specified
circumstances; prohibiting a record owner's right to appeal a final
judgment of the circuit court in a foreclosure action from being
conditioned on the posting of a supersedeas bond in an amount
exceeding the past due monthly payments under the mortgage loan, late
fees, minimum monthly payments, and taxes and specified other payments
due during the appeal; making the Act an emergency measure; etc.
