Entitled:
Estates - Disqualification - Conviction for Unlawfully Obtaining Property of Vulnerable Adult

Synopsis:

Limiting the extent to which a person convicted of a specified prohibition against unlawfully obtaining property from a vulnerable adult shall be disqualified from inheriting, taking, enjoying, receiving, or otherwise benefiting from the estate, insurance proceeds, or property of the vulnerable adult; providing that a specified defendant has a specified burden of proof; making a clarifying change; and applying the Act prospectively.
