Credit and Debit Card Fraud Prevention Act
Prohibiting a person from accepting a payment by credit card or debit
card of $500 or more under specified circumstances unless the person
verifies the identity of the cardholder by requiring the cardholder to
produce a specified government-issued photo identification card;
authorizing the Attorney General to initiate a civil action against a
person who violates the Act to recover a civil penalty not exceeding
$100 for each violation; etc.
