Criminal Procedure - Offender Registry - Retroactivity
Providing that provisions requiring the registration on an offender
registry of specified persons convicted of committing specified
offenses are to be applied retroactively to include a person convicted
on or after July 1, 1997, of an offense committed before July 1,
1997; and requiring the Department of Public Safety and Correctional
Services to contact and notify specified individuals of the
registration requirements under the Act.
