Insurance - Use of Genetic Information and Genetic Tests

Synopsis:

Altering the application of provisions of law that relate to the use of genetic tests and genetic information by an insurer, nonprofit health service plan, or health maintenance organization; establishing an exception to the prohibition on the release of genetic information or results of a genetic test; repealing provisions of law relating to the use of genetic tests and genetic information by a carrier that provides long-term care insurance rendered inconsistent by the Act; etc.
