Supersedeas Bonds - Limitation on Amount

Synopsis:

Prohibiting the total amount of a supersedeas bond required collectively of all appellants to stay enforcement, pending appeal, of a judgment entered in favor of a plaintiff in a civil action from exceeding $25,000,000, regardless of the amount of the judgment; and providing an exception if an appellee proves by a preponderance of the evidence that an appellant is dissipating assets outside the ordinary course of business to avoid payment of a judgment.
