Landlords and Mobile Home Park Owners - Security Deposits - Interest

Synopsis:

Reducing from 4% to 2.5% the annual rate of interest on a security deposit required to be paid, within 45 days after the end of tenancy, to a tenant by a landlord or to a resident by a mobile home park owner, less any rightfully withheld damages; construing the Act only prospectively; and applying the Act to any tenancy created or renewed on or after October 1, 1996.
