Maryland Gun Violence Act of 1996

Synopsis:

Prohibiting a person from taking a police officer's firearm; specifying a penalty for firing a firearm from a motor vehicle; clarifying that having a firearm while committing a drug trafficking crime is a separate felony; prohibiting transactions involving high capacity magazines; prohibiting straw purchases of firearms; requiring a waiting period before a purchase of a firearm; etc.
