Health Maintenance Organizations - Office of Ombudsman

Synopsis:

Requiring the Secretary of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, with the advice of the Insurance Commissioner, to adopt regulations establishing an Office of Health Maintenance Organizations Ombudsman for providers and consumers; requiring a specified notice to be included in specified contracts; requiring the Office of Ombudsman to submit a report containing specified information to the Secretary and Commissioner; and requiring specified information to be reported to the General Assembly.
