Economic Development Strategies and Accountability

Synopsis:

Requiring the Secretary of Business and Economic Development to use best efforts to pursue an interstate compact for the purpose of limiting or restricting competition for out-of-state businesses; limiting the use of the Economic Development Opportunities Program Fund to economic development projects in which an applicant agrees to create at least 100 jobs, pay a minimum wage rate to its employees, provide a health benefits package to its employees, and make premium contribution payments to the health care benefits packages; etc.
