Victims' Rights - Notification Procedures

Synopsis:

Establishing procedures for notifying victims of their rights during the criminal justice process; requiring the State Board of Victim Services to create and develop informational pamphlets notifying victims of rights, services, and procedures provided by law; providing for the creation of a notification request form through which a victim may request to be notified under the Act; providing for the distribution of the pamphlets and request forms to victims; requiring the State's Attorney to notify victims of certain proceedings; etc.
