Welfare Innovation Act of 1996

Synopsis:

Creating a Family Investment Program, including a temporary cash assistance component; repealing provisions relating to the Aid to Families with Dependent Children program; requiring the Secretary of Human Resources to implement and supervise the Family Investment Program; establishing certain eligibility standards for certain benefits under the Program; providing that the Program include certain features; requiring the establishment of certain demonstration projects; etc.
