Drug Forfeiture Actions - Procedure

Synopsis:

Requiring applications for the forfeiture of money or currency contraband to include a proposed show cause order, served pursuant to specified Maryland Rules; requiring the clerk of the court to provide copies of the order to specified persons on issuance; clarifying which courts have jurisdiction over specified forfeiture proceedings; lengthening the time period during which copies of the summons and complaint must be sent to specified persons and specified notices must be posted and published; etc.
