Emergency Medical Services - Licensure of Providers - Transfer of Authority

Synopsis:

Repealing the authority of the State Board of Physician Quality Assurance relating to persons providing specified emergency medical services and transferring the authority to the Emergency Medical Services Board (EMS Board); requiring a person to be licensed or certified by the EMS Board; making specified exceptions; specifying powers and duties of the EMS Board; creating the EMS Board Provider Fund; requiring the EMS Board to refer specified complaints to the State Board of Nursing; etc.
