Emergency Medical Services - Licensure of Providers - Transfer of Authority

Synopsis:

Repealing the authority of the State Board of Physician Quality Assurance relating to persons providing specified emergency medical services; transferring the authority to the Emergency Medical Services Board (EMS Board); requiring a person to be licensed or certified by the EMS Board before providing emergency medical services; making exceptions; specifying powers and duties of the EMS Board; creating the EMS Board Provider Fund; requiring specified complaints to be referred to the State Board of Nursing; etc.
