Workers' Compensation - Use of Controlled Dangerous Substances or Alcohol

Synopsis:

Establishing that a covered employee or the employee's dependent is not entitled to workers' compensation benefits other than specified medical care and wages if the employee's intoxication or use of a controlled dangerous substance was the primary cause of an on-the-job injury; providing a specified exception; authorizing use of the primary cause standard; requiring a specified certification from the Workers' Compensation Commission; etc.
