Transportation - Privatization of Public Bus Transportation - Study and Report

Synopsis:

Requiring the Department of Transportation to study the feasibility of privatizing public bus transportation services and to report its findings and recommendations to the General Assembly by January 1, 1998; requiring the Department to study and report on the economic impact on various sectors, the impact on service, the impact on safety, potential providers, and the administrative feasibility of oversight; and providing for the abrogation of the Act.
