Small Employer Group Health Insurance - Small Employer - Definition

Synopsis:

Broadening the group of self-employed individuals or sole proprietorships that qualify as small employers for the purpose of eligibility under the Maryland Health Insurance Reform Act under specified circumstances; authorizing health insurance carriers to request documentation to verify that a person meets the criteria to be considered a small employer; and providing for the effective dates and application of the Act.
