Medical Records - Maintenance, Disclosure, and Confidentiality

Synopsis:

Specifying a time frame for the disclosure of medical records by health care providers; prohibiting health care providers from refusing to disclose a medical record under specified circumstances; altering penalties; requiring specified individuals to take specified actions before the destruction or transfer of medical records; making specified individuals who violate specified provisions of law liable for actual damages; and altering a specified definition.
