Vehicle Laws - Traffic Control Signal Monitoring Systems

Synopsis:

Authorizing law enforcement agencies to mail a citation to the owner of a vehicle that is recorded by a traffic control signal monitoring system running a red light; requiring the citation to be mailed within a specified time period; authorizing the sending of a warning in lieu of a citation; providing for civil penalties; allowing persons to elect to stand trial in the District Court; establishing specified defenses; providing for the reissuance of a citation to another person under specified circumstances; etc.
