Public Safety - Carbon Monoxide Detectors

Synopsis:

Requiring the installation of carbon monoxide detectors in single-family and multiple-family dwelling units that are to be constructed; requiring the detectors to bear the label of a nationally recognized standard testing laboratory; requiring the detectors to be installed and maintained in accordance with specified standards; establishing specified requirements on landlords and tenants for the repair or replacement of the detectors; and establishing fines for violations of the Act.
