Charles County - Length of Service Award - Early Receipt of Benefits

Synopsis:

Allowing a member who is at least 55 years old and has completed a minimum of 25 years of qualifying service to elect to receive an early Length of Service Award Program benefit equal to 75% of the benefit that person would have received at age 60; requiring a member's credit for additional years of service to equal 75% of the benefit awarded to a member who begins benefits at age 60; and requiring that the election of early benefits be the final choice of benefits.
